The SBR programme and XBRL NL, member of XBRL Europe, announce for November 27 an International Seminar on Digitalization and Reporting Standards on the benefits of cross-domain data standardisation in Brussels.
During the seminar Royal Philips will present their experience on digital regulatory reporting. The seminar will address questions like what role does standardisation play and what are the expectations for the following decade. Most of all, how do we make sure society, especially businesses, will gain from the promises of standardisation in a digital Europe?
Also, our friend John Turner member of the Executive Committee of XBRL Europe and CEO of XBRL International will give an update from our XBRL community.
In October 2017 the European Ministers in charge of eGovernment policy and coordination from the countries of the European Union have signed a declaration in Tallinn (Estland) about the development of eGovernment. Member States invited the European Commission to further explore Standard Business Reporting (SBR) to make company data comparable, transparent and accessible digitally to reduce administrative burdens. in relation to the implementation of the ESMA European Single Electronic Format (ESEF).
The event is aimed at senior representatives of European member states and (supra-)national organizations who are responsible for policies related to external reporting, such as the Transparency Directive and related regulatory reporting.
